Who Can Volunteer?
A volunteer at Mission Services must be at least 18 year of age. Opportunities for offsite volunteering are open to all age groups. Please see the "Group and Offsite Opportunities" page for further details.
The Volunteering Process
- Initial inquiry
- Application
- Discussion with the Volunteer Administrator to determine the position of best fit
- Interview at the program
- Reference checks
- Verbal acceptance, commitment form signed, and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) initiated. Volunteer schedule established and program training carried out. (NOTE: Please do NOT begin a VSS until you are asked to by the Mission.)
- Completed VSS received and original handed in
- Begin volunteering!
