For twenty years the Employment & Training Centre (formerly the Marty Karl Centre) has successfully provided training to hundreds of job seekers looking to work in the food and janitorial industry. Our training has been designed primarily for adults on financial assistance looking to gain skills to secure positions in the Food Services and Janitorial industries.
We are currently in the process of transforming this important program to better accommodate the needs of both employers and clients.
As we move into our new location and redesign a broader based Employment Training program, we are not accepting clients at this time.
However, we encourage you to access our website for updates on when our new program will be accessible, or call Community Relations for a status update at 905-528-4211 x130.
Who do you turn to when someone you love is struggling with addictions and you feel like your life is falling apart?
Kathryn came to the mission terrified and angry, feeling alone and without hope. She could think of nothing to do that would help her son. Jason was struggling with addiction and mental health issues, and Kathryn did not know where to turn.
Mission Servies Opportunity Centres has received positive feedback from the community regarding our decision to commission a report from the Social Planning and Research Council of Hamilton on Homeless Women in Hamilton
Not to Be Forgotten: Homeless Women in Hamilton is accessible HERE.
I encourage you to read the report and share it with your friends. Any comments or observations about the report are appreciated.
