Who do you turn to when someone you love is struggling with addictions and you feel like your life is falling apart?

Kathryn came to the mission terrified and angry, feeling alone and without hope. She could think of nothing to do that would help her son. Jason was struggling with addiction and mental health issues, and Kathryn did not know where to turn.

Most parents want to make their children feel special at Christmas, and Marlene is no different.


A single mom with two girls, ages 5 & 7, she knew she would need help in order to give any gifts to her girls during the holidays. This need brought her to Mission Services' Christmas Care program where she made a wish list, marking down the things that she could only dream of buying for her precious daughters.

Leslie had a good job in the health care sector, lived in a beautiful home with her husband and two children and was active in her church. It was a happy life. Unfortunately, circumstances changed and a seemingly happy life degenerated into a life of fear and threats. Leslie was no longer safe in her own home.

Today, Donovan is living his dream. He had always wanted to be a cook, and with your help, he has become exactly that! Every serving of his special Jamaican ox tail soup, rice and chicken stew comes with an extra helping of Hope.
